Road to Wrestlemania 25

Wrestlemania 25 is fast approaching and is the biggest day on the wrestling calendar. WWE always slams it's foot on the accelerator and delivers a fast, exciting and action packed show every year. This year we could get something extra special as it is the 25th anniversary of the grand-daddy of them all. But with the way the Royal Rumble turned out I am beginning to think that the card for this Wrestlemania could be nothing but satisfactory. If I were in charge this is what I would have done:

WWE Royal Rumble 2009

(Before the match Matt Hardy comes out, grabs the microphone and gets the crowd excited and then his mystery opponent is revealed in the form of Umaga.)

Match 1: Single
ECW Championship
Matt Hardy VS Umaga
(Umaga wins the ECW Championship.)

Match 2: Single
WWE Women's Championship
Beth Phoenix VS Melina
(Beth Phoenix retains the WWE Women's Championship.)

Match 3: Single
WWE Championship
Jeff Hardy VS Edge
(Jeff Hardy retains the WWE Championship.)

Match 4: Single
World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena VS J.B.L.

Match 5: Royal Rumble
(The Undertaker wins the Royal Rumble.)

WWE No Way Out 2009

Match 1: Single
WWE Intercontinental Championship
C.M. Punk VS Rey Mysterio
(C.M. Punk retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship.)

Match 2: Single
The winner recieves a ECW Championship shot at Wrestlemania 25
Matt Hardy VS John Morrison
(No Contest.)
(Umaga attacks both superstars which results in the match ending in a no contest. Moments later the general manager of ECW comes out and declares that at Wrestlemania 25 it will be a triple threat match involving all of the superstars for the ECW Championship.)

Match 3: 20 Man Battle Royal
The winner will have a place in the Money in the Bank ladder match at Wrestlemania 25

(Ted Dibiase wins the match.)

Match 3: Fatal Four Way

Jeff Hardy VS VS The Undertaker VS Triple H VS Edge
(The Undertaker wins the WWE Championship.)
(During the match while the referee has his back turned Christian enters the ring and hits Jeff Hardy with a steel chair. After the match Christian comes out again and attacks Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy manages a comeback and hits the Twist of Fate.)

Beth Phoenix VS Mickie James

(Beth Phoenix retains the WWE Women's Championship.)
(After the match Batista hits the Batista Bomb on Santino Marella and Mickie James gives Beth Phoenix a beating. When Batista and Mickie James leave the ring both Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix are left beaten in the middle of the ring. Then on the titantron a video package is played that ends with the message: "Gail Kim is coming.")

Match 5: Triple Threat
ECW Championship
Umaga VS Matt Hardy VS John Morrison
(John Morrison wins the ECW Championship.)

Match 6: Single
Hall of Famer VS Hall of Famer
Stone Cold VS Hulk Hogan
Vince McMahon is the special guest referee
(Stone Cold wins the match.)
(After the match Stone Cold celebrates with some beers, he then throws Vince McMahon a beer. Just as Vince McMahon is drinking the beer Stone Cold hits him with the Stone Cold Stunner. Hulk Hogan rises to his feet and offers Stone Cold a handshake. Stone Cold grabs a microphone and begins to talk at Hulk Hogan. Then Vince Mcmahon gets up and slaps both Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan. Stone Cold hits Vince McMahon with another Stone Cold Stunner and Hulk Hogan hits the legdrop. After this both Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan celebrate in the ring with a beer. Stone Cold hits Hulk Hogan with a Stone Cold Stunner and then goes to the outside of the ring. From under the ring Stone Cold gets a small box and in the box is a spray can. On Vince McMahon Stone Cold sprays: "3:16," and on Hulk Hogan he sprays: "DTA.")

(Mickey Rourke wins the match.)

Match 8: Single
WWE Championship
World Heavyweight Championship
The Undertaker VS Shawn Michaels
(The Undertaker wins the WWE Championship and retains the World Heavyweight Championship.)
